Aida Nieto is a Texas Lawyer and was bestowed a Doctor of Juris Prudence Degree from Cornell Law School. Ms. Nieto earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government with a concentration in Immigration Studies from The University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Nieto clerked at the White House under President Obama's Domestic Policy Council Immigration team. She also clerked at the Dallas Immigration Court. During her time at Cornell Law School, Ms. Nieto was a Senior Online Editor of the Online Cornell International Law Journal, an Associate for the Cornell Legal Information Institute, and a legal research assistant for Immigration Law Professor Stephen Yale-Loehr. Ms. Nieto has held various community leadership positions within the League of United Latin American Citizens and has worked for Amnesty International's Migrant and Refugee Rights Initiative and American Gateways. Ms. Nieto is a Bill Archer Fellow and National Hispanic Leadership Institute alumna. As an immigrant from Mexico herself, Ms. Nieto is committed to lend a helping hand to the immigrant community.
